Biography
After many years as a small business owner, I attended Southwest Texas State University and received my Bachelor of Arts and Sciences with an emphasis in Psychology in 2002. I then went on to receive my Master of Arts degree with a major in Professional Counseling in 2006 from Texas State University-San Marcos. Shortly after, I met the requirements of a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
I worked in counseling and therapy for several years, primarily in crisis centers and shelters, working with children, adolescents, adults, and families affected by domestic violence and sexual assault and abuse. Working in the telephonic EAP department at United Health Care / United Behavioral Health, I expanded and honed my skills in crisis intervention and learned a great deal about the mental health system.
At the end of August 2012, I resigned from my position at UHG and moved to Colorado Springs.
I have done volunteer work with children in the child welfare system through the CASA organization and accept clients for part-time counseling and therapy private practice.
In addition, for over fourteen years, I have studied and practiced several energy healing modalities. My enthusiasm and passion for these alternative methods have been fueled by a sincere desire to help each person discover their own inner truth and reach their intended purpose.
It is my belief that each of us has a unique constellation of issues and experiences that require a customized combination of methods and modalities to help us achieve our goals. Human potential has indeed expanded far beyond the old paradigms and is greatly benefited by thinking outside the box.
In 2016, I discovered Biofield Tuning, sound therapy with tuning forks. My experience with this method has proven to be a remarkable addition to energy work and counseling! In combination with the other healing methods at my disposal, it is a very powerful tool.
While I have been honored to have facilitated and witnessed profound change in many clients through powerful therapeutic tools, never have I seen such meaningful change as Biofield Tuning produces! Added benefit? It starts with the first session ….
Thank you!
